  • Will you keep my personal information private?

    The information you provide in the My Account > My Details section of the site, such as your name and address, is private and other members do not have access to this information. The information provided in the My Account > My Profile and My Activity sections, such as your measurements, is editable so that it can be made public or private.

    We do not use member’s photos, stats or personal information without consent, or unless members themselves have chosen to make them publicly available. We often publish information and photos, but only after members have agreed that we do so. The Fit Mother website is private and secure and we take protecting your privacy and information very seriously.

  • Can I choose to do the program anonymously?

    Yes, you can. You don’t have to join the facebook community, nor upload a picture. All we need is a screen name. Your personal and billing details are kept private.

  • I’m having some issues with the community access. Who do I contact?

    The Fit Mother community is accessed via Facebook. Please ensure your facebook profile and access is working as normal. If further issues persist, please contact the support team at hello@thefitmother.com.

  • I am going on holidays

    That’s not a problem! The program has been designed to be accessed anywhere, anytime, without any specific equipment required.

    We look forward to travelling with you. Please share your adventures with the community!

  • I am due to give birth shortly

    A few options here;

    • Quite often we find that the women in The Fit Mother program continue their membership over this period of time for access to our amazing members community, the food ideas and plans, the mindfulness and meditation recordings – and to keep in touch with others who are also recently home with their babies.
    • If you don’t think you’re $9 per week membership will be used then that’s no problem – you can request a temporary hold for up to 4 weeks. Just get in touch with the team at hello@thefitmother.com and we’ll sort this out for you.
  • I am a male

    Thank you for your interest. The Fit Mother has been designed specifically for women, and at this stage we do not offer a membership option for men. Please pass our details on to the special women in your life!

  • Will the program impact breastfeeding?

    Please chat to your Doctor if you have any concerns about participating in the program while you are breastfeeding. We have designed the workouts to be of a moderate duration and low impact, so there should be no effect on milk supply. Remember to always wear a supportive bra while exercising, and you may choose to exercise after feeding when your breasts are more comfortable.

  • The site has frozen

    Often this is all about your internet connection and browser. Here are some simple steps to try;

    • Quit your browser
    • Log in and out of your laptop / PC
    • Update your browser
    • Clear your cache (sounds difficult but it’s not really – see instructions here)

  • I’ve signed up but haven’t received an email

    Check that you have the correct email address for your sign-up (as a busy mother you more than likely have one or two accounts!). If that doesn’t solve the problem – send us a quick email and we’ll sort it out for you hello@thefitmother.com.

  • How much support will I get as part of TFM?

    You’re about to become a part of The Fit Mother Movement. We are a community, a tribe, a sisterhood dedicated to making you feel great. In addition to our team who work tirelessly to make your experience easy and thoroughly enjoyable, you will soon be connected with a whole world of mothers who share the same health and well-being goals as you.

  • I don’t have a Facebook account

    That’s not a problem. Our team will be sending regular email updates and invitations, and the members area within the website will contain the latest blogs and knowledge articles.

    Facebook is a great tool for members to connect and share – which is what we’re all about, so if you don’t want to join up make sure you ask a friend or family member to get active with you, or share a cup of tea – whenever possible. Connections make the world go ’round!

  • Can I print my weekly planner and food suggestions?

    Absolutely! If you’re like us, you need to be visually motivated every day, so please print out your schedule and meal plan and stick it on the fridge for maximum exposure. It’s also a great way to keep yourself accountable and let the family support you on your journey.

  • Can I promote TFM program to a third party?

    We would love you to spread the word! Please ensure you use our official materials and that no part of the content is reproduced or copied.

  • Can I use TFM to promote my services?

    No, the program is strictly for personal use only and claimed association, or distribution of any of The Fit Mother materials to non-members will be in breach of your access and agreement.

  • I have some more questions. Who do I contact?

  • How secure is my data in The Fit Mother?

    We take security very seriously and commit to doing everything in our power to keep your data safe and private. We use industry-standard encryption and integrate with an Open Authentication (OAUTH) system. At no point do we have access to your credentials. Please refer to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for more details.

  • Will my credit card details be safe?

    Our payment gateway is provided by Stripe. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we make use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.

  • Will I get kicked out of the program if my credit card details change or the direct debit doesn’t get processed?

    You won’t be able to access the dashboard until your payment goes through. Don’t worry, you won’t lose your activity data.

  • When will I be charged?

    You will be charged monthly from the date of your sign up.

  • Can I purchase a gift card for someone else?

    Absolutely! The gift of becoming part of The Fit Mother program and community is a powerful way to show someone that you really care about their health and wellbeing. To purchase a gift for someone else – simply get in touch with our support team and they will sort this out for you; hello@thefitmother.com

  • Can I transfer my membership to someone else?

    As we tailor the program for each member, unfortunately you are not able to transfer your membership.

  • Can I share a membership?

    The Fit Mother program has been designed to be tailored to you as an individual. Track your progress, set your own exercise and well-being schedule, connect and share with The Fit Mother community. This does require individual membership.

  • How do I pay for The Fit Mother?

    Access your private Payments Dashboard to manage your team’s The Fit Mother licenses. On the Billing tab, you can view and edit billing information (including credit card details), cancel subscriptions, and view billing history.

  • With the meal suggestions – what are the options for gluten free / lactose intolerance / paleo / vegan etc?

    The fast, fresh and easy meal ideas within The Fit Mother program have been created as a guide only – and as such are not tailored to specific dietary needs. If you have a specific intolerance or allergy, please consult your physician or health practitioner regarding alternate options for your meals.

  • What do I get for my membership?

    The Fit Mother program offers a number of elements to ensure that your total health and well-being is being cared for;

  • Do I need any special equipment to join the program?

    No special exercise equipment is needed. We do use 1kg hand weights and an exercise mat within the movement videos, however a towel and a tin of something (baked beans anyone?) will do the job just nicely.

    You can also do the session in your PJ’s or just in your bra and undies (!) – there will be no one to judge and no fancy styling needed from us!

  • Can I complete the programs at any day throughout the week?

    Yes! Every Sunday evening we will release a new program for the week ahead. You can view and complete any session as you choose, however we do suggest that you follow your personal schedule so that you develop a routine and habit that will last long after you’ve finished the program.

  • How long will I need to exercise each day?

    Our daily movement sessions are 20minutes each, and have been designed by a specialist womens Physio to ensure correct postural and muscular execution. As mother’s ourselves, we understand that babies, toddlers and life often get in the way of our personal exercise time – so each movement session can be completed in 10minute blocks, or repeated several times if you’re feeling strong and energetic on any particular day.

    In addition to the movement programs, we recommend additional gentle exercise on most days such as walking or yoga – preferably with a friend or the family.

  • When are new programs released?

    New programs will be released weekly on a Sunday evening.

  • Will I have access to any of the materials if I stop my membership?

    As a member of The Fit Mother Movement, you will continue to have access to our member community via Facebook for a period of time.

  • Are the meals easy to make?

    Absolutely. We have two simple philosophies when it comes to our meal suggestions;

    1. It must be fast – no more than a handful of ingredients or steps
    2. It must be fresh – our motto is Just Eat Real Food. Our focus is on nutritious meals made with as many real or whole ingredients as possible to make you feel good and give you the energy you need. We don’t count calories and we don’t do diets.

    We have given each meal the thumbs up! Every meal on the plan passes the ‘yay no nay’ test by The Fit Mother team.

  • Where can I sign up for TFM Escapes?

    Members will be notified well in advance for any upcoming Escapes. Reservations will be accepted on a first-in basis. We can’t wait to escape with you soon!

  • Can I attend an Escape if I’m not a member?

    Escapes are reserved on a members-first basis. Should we have any available places closer to the dates that have not been taken up by members, then we will advise via our social channels, or those who are on a waitlist.

  • Do I need my doctors approval to start this program?

    You must consult your obstetrician, GP or midwife involved in your care before commencing this program. All advice is generic and whilst we do our best to provide sound, safe and evidence-based information, you should ensure that any specific questions about your wellbeing are directed to your “in real life” caregivers. Of course you can shoot our team a message with any questions you have and hopefully we can help!

  • Should I be exercising when I am pregnant?

    Exercise during pregnancy is recommended by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, in the absence of contraindications. Half an hour of low to moderate impact exercise on most, if not all days of the week is the recommendation. The Fit Mother provides just that. Exercise during pregnancy offers a range of incredible benefits, from improving muscle strength and tone, to toning up your pelvic floor muscles, to minimising weight gain. Plus you will love the extra energy that comes from exercising with us. Your recovery will be quicker after you have had your baby, and you will be able to return to exercise more quickly.

    If your obstetrician has recommended that you avoid exercise, then it is important to follow their advice. There are some conditions which make exercise unsafe during pregnancy, and you can always get started again after bubs is born!

    If you have any doubts or concerns, please make sure you discuss these with your obstetrician or GP before starting The Fit Mother program.

  • How soon after birth can I exercise?

    It’s best to wait until your 6 week check up with your obstetrician, GP or midwife before you start our program if you have just had a baby. You may have seen a physio in hospital or been given some information about exercises to get started with in the first 6 weeks, so keep up with those until your check up.

  • How do I join TFM program?

  • Can I do the program if I have a specific injury?

    Without being able to personally assess your injury, we recommend you seek clearance from your doctor or health practitioner before commencing the program.

  • Can I start at any time?

    Just like motherhood, and children – we know there is no such thing as “the perfect time” so we’ve designed The Fit Mother program to be able to be started at any stage, on any day. Simply sign up and you will have access to all program elements for that week. You can view the movement video’s, download the food suggestions – and access all available knowledge articles.
